Fantoni Style Salt Glaze Blue, Purple Ceramic Bowl Mid-Century Modern, Italian

About the Item

The beautiful pattern and intricacies of this geometric textural Italian salt glaze ceramic vintage bowl has great influence and style of the work of the great Fantoni. The colors are exquisite, unusual and rich looking. It is a tapestry and weave of color and great design with textural glaze. This is an early work of Italian ceramics from the 1950s that is signed but hard to read. We have determined that it is the work of Luis Zambelli. This is most likely a studio piece. It has an old world meets Italian meets other influences. The colors range from blue to purple to turquoise, to pink to red, to orange to yellow to black to brown, etc. This is stunning as a decorative bowl and or object. This is truly a work of art in ceramic form. It is much more spectacular in person and is Mid-Century Modern. The colors are exquisite as well as the designs. In recap, It is like a painting in ceramic form. .

  • Signed Italian Glazed Red, White, Black Ceramic Jester And Birds, Bowl or Vessel
    Located in North Miami, FL
The whimsical and theatrical scene of hand painted Jesters, birds and designs on the front and back of this Italian hallmarked, vintage 1960s glazed ceramic or porcelain bowl is a piece of sculpture in itself. The rich color of blue red against outlines of black on white ceramic make this a conversational bowl, vessel or vase. Very Italian! It is hallmarked H.G. Italy with numbers of 101H8/B/S with a squiggly line. We have tried to do the research and it is very obscure and hard to pinpoint. We know it is a very special ceramic. It is 5.5" high to the top of the bowl not the handles. That is 7" H to the top of the handles. This is quite unusual and of the arena of a great quality. It has come from a private collection of high end vintage...
