About the Item

Very Rare Goldscheider Vienna Figurine of the 1930s: Standing young, unclothed lady with chin-length blond hair, loosely holding in front of her the leash of the German shepherd sitting next to her. On a black, slightly cambered round base, signature 'Laurenzl' on the underside of the base. Designed by Josef LORENZL (1892 - 1950), one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory in the period of 1920 - 1940, and Hugo POSTL (1879 - ?), animal sculptor, member of numerous artists' associations of his time, mainly active in Styria (A).
