Goldscheider Vienna most lovely rarest Art Deco figurine: Lady Reading A Book Designed by Stefan (= Stephen) Dakon (1904 - 1992) Modelled circa 1936 made c. 1936 Model number 7561 / 18 / 16 Hallmarked: Goldscheider WIEN (= VIENNA) stamp mark MADE IN AUSTRIA sculptor's sign 'Dakon' & signs of modeller as well as painter visible at reverse side of base, too Subject: Rarest figure of a lady clad in short dress with spaghetti straps decorated with stunning flower's pattern This figurine is of highest quality due to the deep colours (excellently red shaded !) of the lady's short dress with sash as well as of the figurine's fine appearance: The lady is slim and of handsome appearance. She is busy with reading a book / she has taken place on a books' pile having function of base, too.
