Lord & Lady Flight Collection Chocolate Cup & Underplate Flight Worcester C 1788

This is rare porcelain Chocolate Cup and underplate in a beautiful hand gilded pattern, from the private collection of Lord and Lady Flight Flight, made during the Flight period of Worcester porcelain, 18th Century, George I11rd period, 1783 to 1792 These pieces are in remarkable condition, probably never used and kept in a display cabinet. They have full supporting Provenance with the original stickers from the Flight Collection, item number 912, as per the sticker on each piece . Both pieces are vertically fluted with very beautiful, fine quality hand gilding, reflecting the French style of the late 18th Century. The chocolate cup has two handles and is complete with its original underplate, which is rare as often pieces become split up. Both pieces have the hand painted "Flight" mark in aubergine, dating them to circa 1783 to 1792, George 111rd period of the late 18thC. Overall a really beautiful set with real high-society provenance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lord and Lady Flight Lord Flight, born Howard Emerson Flight, was a British Conservative politician who served as a Member of Parliament for Arundel and South Downs from 1997 to 2005. He was known for his roles in the Shadow Cabinet and his ambition to become Chancellor. Lord Flight was married to Christabel Diana Beatrice Norbury, and they had four children. He passed away on January 24, 2026, at the age of 77.
