About

Unique wonderfull large ceramic designed and signed by Ceramiche Artistiche Solimene , CAS, manufactured in circa 1950. In Vietri Sul mare by famous Factory of Solimene. Founded in 1937 by Vincenzo Solimene Hand-built vessel with a motif of a Big Fish with three chimneys on the top with textured glazed in green, ocra, blue, orange and yellow. Signed CAS underside This factory made famous the artistic tradition of Vietrese Ceramic in the world in the last one hundred years. Famous artist and designers like also Gio Ponti, Gambone, La Pietra, worked there from fifties. The wonderful factory was a project, really modern for that time, of the architect Paolo Soleri.
