Pair of circa 1800 Chinese Export Tobacco Leaf Plates

About the Item

Pair of 7.875" diameter round porcelain plates with over all design in bright, bold colors known as the "tobacco leaf" pattern. Central leaf shape reserve containing script monogram of original owner. Gilt tracery defining the leaf veins and plate edge. Three small groups of red and blue flowerettes decorate the back or the rim.
