About

Contemporary ceramicist Brian molanphy is inspired by the peaks and valleys seen on mountainous hikes. He plays with glazes and firing methods to create unique, contemporary end results that are different for each piece. This Shove is formed when he takes a singular clay forms and "shoves" it in different ways to create the unique shape. Each piece is truly an original. The resulting form is then fired in a wood burning kiln. The glaze is created by the ash falling at random inside the wood kiln.
