Dutch Delft Chinoiserie Faïence Tin-Glazed Floral Cobalt Blue Charger

About the Item

An 18th century Dutch delft, tin-glazed earthenware deep charger, inspired by Chinese export porcelain and hand painted in a heavy cobalt blue chinoiserie style overall floral pattern. A stylized border of an alternating floral like pattern is edged with a white rim. The verso is glazed in a light blue with a wide rear rim. Maker unknown, circa 1730-1750. Measures: 13.5 in. diameter. x 2 in. deep Very good antique condition, the expected fritting and a sliver to the rear rim.
