Antique Dutch Delft cabinet plate Material: Delft pottery, earthenware tin glazed Maker: The 3 Bells factory (1670- 1841), marked at the back Origin: The Netherlands, Delft 18th century Style: Neoclassical, antique, Colonial, Chinoiserie Provenance: Dutch private Family Color: Blue and White Hand crafted tin glazed earthenware pottery Fully handpainted in blue and white floral decor with enchanting colors Depicting a stylised flower basket, chinoiserie Condition good it has chips and wear which is quite normal to antique Dutch Delft I'm offering an almost identical plate that comes from the same private collection and same Delft Factory. It match very good as a pair. The three bells factory The Three Bells was founded in 1671. by Barbara Cornelisdr Rotteveel. The company was located in a former brewery on the Geer at Delft. In 1706 her grandson, Pieter Mesch, took over. Subsequent owners were his widow, Maria van Ophoven, and her second husband, Hendrik van Willigen. In 1743, De three Bells was sold to Adriaan van der Does. The business was continued after his death by his widow and son The pottery was auctioned in 1784 and then controlled by a company. The owners expanded the company with a number of buildings and moved the work in 1840 to the Porceleyne Clauw pottery
