Vase Delftware Dutch Blue and White

About the Item

Unusual decoration blending a European pastoral landscape with Chinoiserie ornamentation. Suitable for everyday use. The tapering body decorated with a European lady and a gentleman walking in a rural landscape with a manservant holding a parasol and maid holding a rabbit or small dog with a church on the horizon. the other side with a vignette of a lady walking with a posy of flowers. The top with border of trellis lappets and stylised floral sprays and the bottom with geometric borders. Restoration to a break. The bottom numbered '6' from a garniture. Dutch diameter 16cm., 6 1/4" height 31cm., 12".
