About the Item
Cartouche-shaped with a lady standing beside a fence on a terrace amongst blossom sprays and peonies with an acrobatic bird and insect flying overhead. The border in moulded relief with twigs, scrolls and stylized leaves. The top pierced for hanging. Decorated in blue on a pale blue glaze. Restoration to a break, third quarter of the 18th century.
