19th Century English Majolica Turquoise & Pink Six Well Oyster Plate

About

An English Majolica earthenware oyster plate, circa 1870-1890. Six alternating wells of turquoise and pink are separated by green beaded bands. Each plate has a mottled glazed, round centre condiment well and a tortoise shell glazed verso. There is a nice soft aspect to this set both in the glazing and the molding. Measuring a large 9.75 in. in diameter x 1.5 in. height. Multiple plates are available. Excellent antique condition, expected light wear.
