French Choisy-le-Roi 19th Century Majolica Strawberry Plates with Foliage

About the Item

Seven French Choisy-le-Roi Majolica strawberry plates from the second half of the 19th century, priced and sold individually. Charming our eyes with their lovely decor, each of these Majolica plates were produced in the faience factory of Choisy-le-Roi that created some of the most delicate production in France. Depicting mouth-watering strawberries surrounded by their green foliage, the plates present a scalloped edge. Each back is stamped in black ink with the words "Choisy-le-Roi" topped with the initials "HB" that stand for Hippolyte Boulenger, one of the factory directors. With their lovely decor and graceful lines, these French Choisy-le-Roi Majolica plates will bring a touch of freshness to any home. They are priced $225 each.
