A French Faïence asparagus plate, showing a group of five asparagus spears spread across a turquoise ground. A hand painted border line and a faint basketweave pattern on the rim. Great color. Book reference: Pg.51, “Artichauts et Asperges en Barbotine” by Maryse Bottero. Measures: 9.5 in. diameter x 1 in. height circa 1885-1900, Sarreguemines. Overall light crazing. Light wear to the rear footing.
