A set of 60 pieces of porcelain dinnerware in the Herend Rothschild Queen Victoria pattern with Green border. Vintage; the pieces in this set were produced between 1950 to 1980. All marked. Hand painted and crafted of the finest porcelain with gold accents. Each piece is meticulously hand-painted by master artisans in Hungary, meaning no two pieces are ever entirely identical. The Herend Queen Victoria pattern is the most famous and iconic fine china design from the renowned Hungarian porcelain manufacturer ⁠Herend Porcelain. Unveiled in 1851 at the London World Exhibition, it features hand-painted peonies, blooming florals, vibrant butterflies, and 24k gold accents. Queen Victoria was captivated by this oriental-inspired design at the 1851 Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace. She purchased a large dinner set, prompting Herend to officially name the pattern in her honor.
