French Art Nouveau Emile Galle Cameo Glass 'Morning Mist' Landscape Vase c1900

About the Item

Exceptional Art Nouveau Emile Galle Cameo landscape vase, depicting a very early morning waterside scene, with outline trees, buildings and shrubs, with swirling mists over a flowing river and little ramshackle fences. Signed in cameo c 1910 (Provost Mk III -see chart in final image) Almost certainly a Louis Hestaux design and one of the earlier detailed Landscape cameos. Green-brown over bright green with pink on the inside. Emile Galle was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.
