Loetz Art Nouveau Vase Cobalt Mimosa With 3 Handles, Austria-Hungary, circa 1911

About the Item

Blown, flat, bulbous body on a large, round, flush stand, contracting to a short, wide neck, slightly widened, 6-fold wavy indented mouth rim. Cobalt blue underlay with silver-yellow-green crumb inclusions, 3 six-part volute handles made of yellow, iridescent glass, curved upwards, bottom with polished pontil. Shape: Series II, Production number 8012, around 1911 Decor: Cobalt Mimosa Cobalt blue ground with silver-yellow crumbs, crackled branch decoration, reduced and magenta-gold iridescence. Manufactured by Loetz Widow / Klostermühle / Bohemia Dating of manufacture: around 1911 Size: height: 10.7 cm / 4.21 in diameter: 19.0 cm / 7.48 in Condition: very good.
