This is an exquisite antique French Napoleon III birdseye maple Tantalus Cave a Liqueur, circa 1860 in date.
It features brass inlaid decoration on the top and front with tulip wood banding. The hinged lid and the hinged sides open to reveal a lift-out stand fitted with four liquor decanters and stoppers and sixteen glasses.
Complete with original working lock and key, it is an absolutely superb set which is sure to attract a lot of attention.

Complete with 14 original glasses and 2 that have been added later.

Tantalus

This is a superb antique Victorian walnut cased three decanter tantalus with decorative inlaid satinwood decoration, c1870 in date.
It was skillfully crafted in walnut with beautiful fan and line inlaid decoration and a stylish silver plated handle. There are three square shaped cut crystal decanters with stoppers.
Complete with working lock and key.
It is a decorative piece which is also very practical, and would make a lovely gift.
Condition:
In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned and waxed in our workshops, please note that there is no key, please see photos for confirmation.
