Moser Champagne Glasses Art Nouveau Hand Blown, Lady Hamilton by Moser

About the Item

These are 8 champagne glasses made from hand blown crystal by Moser in the ever popular Lady Hamilton glass cut. This pattern is an example of the "papal" cut so called because it is a derivative of the Pope pattern and its defining panel cuts. The Pope pattern was commissioned by Pope Pius XI in 1923 while its offspring Lady Hamilton was first produced in 1934. Lady Hamilton has become one of Moser's superlative patterns and continues to be very popular to this day. The handcut Lady Hamilton set contains many different accessories for the excellent decoration of your laid table. It was more than 160 years ago that gifted Czech engraver Ludwig Moser breathed life into Moser crystal and in doing so enchanted the world. From the very beginning he worked with traditional glassmaking technology, but it was above all his talent and art that gave the collections their uniqueness and beauty. Since that time, Moser crystal has been ever-present at royal weddings and gatherings of the political elite and has been sought after by people with refined taste. Take a look at what makes this traditional Czech brand unique throughout the world.

Crystal, as glass, has a very interesting characteristic in which its composition and behavior can be catalogued as both solid and liquid. It is called "vitreous state". We often relate glass recipients to pure geometries, which fall in the category of what in math is called "solids of revolution". We believe this morphologies generally lack of self identity as they tend to make the contained liquid look very rigid. This collection of hand blown glassware...
