Vintage Glass Scrambled Cane Paperweight

About the Item

A fine vintage scrambled cane clear glass paperweight which we have attributed as English but possibly European dating from the early 20th century. The heavily hand blown paperweight is of round tall domed shape blown in clear glass and containing a ball arrangement of 'worm' shaped star canes in tones of yellow, pink, purple, green and blue with colored and white inclusions with the occasional air bubbles. The paper weight has a snapped unpolished pontil mark to the base with age wear around the foot rim. The paper weight is not marked. Provenance: Acquired in the UK Art Market. In good condition with customary age wear around the foot rim.
