About the Item
This ingenious picnic set was designed by Carlo Viglino in 1968 and produced by Guzzini in the 1970s.
The plastic sphere or ball shaped carrier holds everything required for a picnic: 2 containers, 1 tray, 6 dining plates, 6 dessert plates, 6 glasses, a container for salt and pepper, a container for oil and vinegar. Also the Sphere itself can easily be used as a salad bowl for instance. Almost each peace still features the original label on the bottom! This complete set shows minimal signs of age related wear, the carier itself is slightly yellowed by sunlight. The sphere measures 28 cm in diameter. Weight: ca. 3 Kg.
