18th Century French Hammered Copper Jug or Pitcher with Iron Loop Handle
About the Item
This is an interesting 18th century, French, hammered copper jug or pitcher with an iron loop handle.
The jug or pitcher is all hand made with a hammered copper body and formed rim with an iron loop handle riveted to the body. The jug body is hand decorated with a Greek Key pattern around the mid body and again on the body vertically where the handle attaches. It has developed a lovely pattination with age and use.
Overall a very old, interesting and decorative rustic piece.
