Antique George III Irish Sterling Silver Beer / Water Jug

An exceptional, Fine and impressive antique George III Irish sterling silver beer / water jug; part of our Georgian dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Irish silver beer jug, in sterling standard, has a plain baluster form onto a circular spreading foot. The body of this impressive silver jug is plain and embellished with the later engraved initials 'AP'. This impressive example of antique silverware is fitted with a cast S scroll handle ornamented with a plain scrolling thumb piece and lower terminal, in addition to a tiered, upper socket. This exceptional beer jug is fitted with a plain cast sterling silver beak style spout. The jug is supported by a cast sterling silver foot accented with a molded rim. Condition: This antique Irish silver beer jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. There are some surface blemishes as to be expected in keeping with age. Full Irish hallmarks struck to the surface are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique silver beer jug.     A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver helmet shaped creamer made by Peter and Ann Bateman, an addition to our Georgian silver teaware collection. This fine antique George III sterling silver cream jug has a helmet shaped form onto a pedestal with a circular spreading foot and plain square base. The upper portion of the body is ornamented with a broad band of bright cut engraved irregular undulating decoration. The body of the jug is embellished with a pin struck and bright cut engraved decorated shield shaped vacant cartouche suspended from a stylized ribbon design. The rim of the body is encompassed with an applied reed decorated border. He surface of the square base is embellished with further bright cut engraved and pin struck leaf motifs and simple paralleling border.
