French Silver Metal Measuring Milk Pitcher, 1950s

Vintage metal milk measuring pitcher from France, circa 1950. The polished steel pot has a tall, wide pouring spout and hinged handle. Embossed French text declares the pitcher demi-decilitre, 5 litres, and instructs that each litre is measured at the center point of the indented lines encircling the pot. This charming piece will make a fabulous utensil holder or planter.
