18th-century Chelsea Porcelain Large Botanical Dish, Red Anchor Period, Circa 1755. The unusually large Chelsea porcelain dish, with a petal-shaped rim is decorated with scattered bouquets and flowers including roses and tulips. The painting is of an unusually high quality. Dimensions: 16 1/4 inches diameter x 1 1/4 inches high (41.28cm diameter x 3.18cm inches high) Mark: Small painted red anchor inside the foot rim. Reference: Chelsea Porcelain at Williamsburg, by John C. Austin, page 84-85, #75 for two oval dishes with the same type and style of decoration.
