George III 19th Century Silver Tea Tray London, 1800, Solomon Hougham

About

A very elegant large oval silver tea and coffee tray. The tray has a reeded border and a very beautifully engraved cartouche. Inside the cartouche is a family crest of a unicorn. The handles of the tray are applied and have been raised for easy use. They have part acanthus leaf and reeding for added decoration. Maker: Solomon Houghman Origin: London 1800 Weight: 69 troy ounces/2146 grams Length: 21.25 inches/54cm (back of handle to back of opposite handle) Width: 14 inches/36cm Condition: Very good throughout. Price: £5250.
