A large oval Leeds style platter, a Pearlware or Creamware body with a deep blue edge called Feather or Shell. A nice combed verso showing the impressed Warranted Crown mark of Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, Staffordshire, England, circa 1814-1834. Measures: 15.75 in. L x 12 in. W x 1.5 in. H Good structural condition with the expected surface wear and discoloring.
