This set of 12 antique Staffordshire flow blue plates was made by Cauldon England and feature the image of a large salmon leaping above the surface of a stream which is cascading over rocks. The central image is encircled within a band of aquatic vegetation and shells. The plates have scalloped rims accented with sponged gilt decoration. The plates come with a large 23.5" by 11.25" oval platter featuring the image of a speckled salmon swimming amongst a large clump of water plants. The shoulder of the platter is finished with the same decorative band found on the plates and also has a sponged gilt rim.
