Vintage Famille Rose Enamel Hand-Painted Plate

About the Item

The turquoise and green touches in this famille rose plate with strokes of white and yellow make it irresistible. This fits into the Famille Rose Mandarin category. It reflects the delicate pastels that are generally associated with Chinese export Famille Rose. There is an array of delicate flowers in white at the top half of the plate and a bold yellow band that contrasts the blues on the plate. Two beautiful pheasant or birds of paradise with elegant long tails rest in a tree facing each other. This plate is mid-century according to the appraiser. It is in wonderful vintage condition without chips or cracks or any other condition issues. It measures 9 inches wide and 9 inches deep and one and a half inches tall. This is a wonderful acquisition that is somewhat rare.
