10 Antique Mintons Porcelain Raised Gold Aesthetic Movement Luncheon Plates

About the Item

A set of 10 richly gilt porcelain luncheon or dessert plates. By Mintons. In an Aesthetic Movement numbered pattern with raised gold and gold jeweling throughout. Each marked to the base with a puce maker's mark that reads 58013 / E / Rd. No. 153902 / Manufactured for Caldwell & Co. Philadelphia / Mintons / Made in England (one of the 12 is only marked with a puce Mintons mark). Each also has an impressed Mintons mark and cypher. Simply great Aesthetic or Gilded Age design! Date: Late 19th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: One plate has a 2 chips to its foot rim, and their are small frits to a few other footrims. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Mintons for Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia. Pattern: no. 58013 Marks: Each marked to the base with a puce maker's mark that reads 58013 / E / Rd. No. 153902 / Manufactured for Caldwell & Co. Philadelphia / Mintons / Made in England (one of the 12 is only marked with a puce Mintons mark). Each also has an impressed Mintons mark and cypher. Measurements: Diameter: ca. 7 3/4 in.
