About the Item

Allegory of the Earth. Glazed porcelain. Hispania porcelain, Manises, Spain, 20th century. With mark on the base. Porcelain figurine enameled with touches of gold that shows a half-naked boy, accompanied by some farming equipment (plough, etc.) and a sheaf of wheat and fruit, seated on a base with a clear rococo memory on which the text is read. “La Tierra”, allusive to the allegory that the piece represents. These types of works are inspired by outstanding works of European factories. The factory known as Porcelana Hispania made a series of quality pieces along the same lines (animals, rococo-influenced couples, etc.). Size: 12 x 9 x 14 cms.
