Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Cachepot,
Circa 1750-60
The very large Chinese Export porcelain cachepot is of cylindrical form with an inverted shell handle to each side. There is a grouping of bamboo and peony plants to each side, and from the rim are large lappet-shaped panels with dramatic brown swirls overlaid with Famille Rose flowers and leaves.
Dimensions: Height 8 1/4 inches high x 8 1/4 inches diameter x 10 1/2 inches wide across handles.
