Early Chamberlain's Double Spiral-Fluted Comport, c. 1800
About the Item
The unique double spiral-fluted design has the support fluting angled counter-clockwise, and the upper lozenge-shaped dish fluting angled in a clockwise direction. The effect is quite pleasing aesthetically, and the rarity of the form makes this already-superb comport a true collector's piece.
