Royal Worcester Hand Painted Porcelain Figural Monk Candle Snuffer
About the Item
A very finely made antique Royal Worcester porcelain candle snuffer modeled as a monk reading a bible and dated 1905. The candle snuffer is portrayed as a monk dressed in monastic robes tied around the waist and holds an open bible in his hands and is probably praying. The monk is hand painted in naturalistic colors with molded and painted facial features. The snuffer has a printed puce makers mark to the inside and date code for 1905.
