Berlin KPM Guild Royal Blue Porcelain Vase

About the Item

Berlin KPM pedestal vaulted vase. It is hand painted on the front with a scene of Kronprinzepalais building redesigned by Johann Heinrich Strack for Prince Frederick William of Prussia and his future wife Princess Victoria of England and on the back with a scene of Babelsberg palace. The top of the vase is flanked by a gilt acanthus hair and beard face handles. The royal blue background is guild with scrolls of leaves and brushstrokes that frame the hand painted scenes with a gilt crown as a finial on the front and back. It is hallmarked with the scepter & KPM. Inside the vase is dated 1877. The vase is standing over a base 11” x 11”.
