Depiction of a young man dressed in a colourful robe – blue shirt and trousers with a yellow frock coat – with a turban and earrings, a dagger stuck in his red sash, holding a red cape in his left hand and leading a magnificent rearing white horse by the rein with his right. On an oval natural base with a plastic flower and leaf covering. Design: JOHANN JOACHIM KÄNDLER (1706 - 1775) was chief sculptor at the Meissen manufactory from 1742 to 1775. He is the most famous modeller Meissen manufactory ever had and created famous series such as Shepherd Figurines, Comedian's Children, Gardener Children (with Acier), Paris Town Criers (with Reinicke and Meyer) , Gallant Figurines, etc. Kaendler designed model 1067 circa 1748.
