Meissen most lovely figurine: Cherub of Love 'je Les Enflamme' Measures / dimensions: height 7.87 inches / 20.0 cm width 5.31 inches / 13.5 cm depth 4.52 inches / 11.5 cm Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (glazed bottom) First quality  Dating: 20th century / made 1957 (year's mark existing) Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Style: Rococo Modelled by: Michel Victor Acier (1736-1799) Model G 30 created circa 1780. The sculptor was born at Versailles / France. He had studied Art of Sculpture in Paris and was appointed as sculptor of Meissen Porcelain Manufactory then (1762). Acier created many models generally in style of Rococo and specially in Watteau style. Finally, the sculptor became Model Master of the Saxon King in year 1780, moving to Dresden then. Detailed description: Meissen cherub of love 'je Les Enflamme' The lovely bright brownish-haired as well as winged cherub boy is almost naked; a drapery covers the cherub's lower body partially. The Amor Boy holds a bow with arrow in both hands - he is aiming at something ... / additionally, a pedestal on which a quiver filled with arrows has been put is visible next to cherub's figurine / finally, a pair of pigeons caressing each other sits on earth ( = SYMBOL OF LOVE !) .
