Meissen gorgeous figurine of nude lady, called after the Bath / created by Robert Ockelmann Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (underglazed) First quality  Dating: made circa 1890-1900 Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Model number M 193 x / Painter's number 40 Measures: total height: 14.56 inches (= 37.0 cm) diameter of base: 5.70 inches (= 14.5 cm) Modeller: Robert Ockelmann (1849-1915). The modeller had studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin (Germany). The sculptor was specialized in creation of genre und nude figures. The Model M 193 was created in the year 1883. Subject: This figurine is called 'after the bath'  The semi-nude female figurine - only her legs are covered with a cloth - rests her right foot upon a rocky base, being busy with putting on a sandal. The female figurine (look for example at her proportions or at her handsome features, please) is of finest appearance, it is excellently modelled and the details are stunningly worked. Round base with golden painted edged areas existing: Additionally, surface of base is excellently decorated with frieze, depicting figurines of fish, reeds and trident.
