Size: Height 17.5 cm (= 6.88 inches) Width of base 12.8 cm (= 5.03 inches) Depth of base 10.0 cm (= 3.93 inches) Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (underglazed) First quality  Model number B 28 / painter's number 31 / former's number 144 Dating: Made circa 1870 (Meissen Sword Mark with Pommels on Hilts) Material: Porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: Handmade porcelain Style: Rococo, designed by Michael Victor ACIER (1736-1799) / modelled 1766-68 Specifications: Meissen Gardener Figurines -- It is a lovely couple - a young man embracing his female companion at her right hip looks fondly at her / she reciprocates his affectionate gesture ... -- The woman holds a watering can as well as she seizes a bundle of rose flowers / the man supports himself at a tree's stump where a basket with flowers is leaning against it / a little boy being visible behind the figurines is watching the scene -- The modelling is of finest quality, the details are delicately shaped / the young couple's and boy's features as well as their figurines are of stunning loveliness -- All figurines are clad in fine rural Rococo garments (the barefooted man has a short-sleeved jacket, a white shirt and breeches, the woman wears a long bodice dress with apron, the boy is similarly to man dressed ) / -- The figurines are attached to oval high base edged with Rocaille decorations Bibliography: SABINE & THOMAS BERGMANN, Meissen Figures / models A 1 - Z 99 (Erlangen/Germany 2014), page 56 / catalogue number 83 Condition: Very good / there aren't any damages existing.
