Meissen most lovely group of Gardener figurines with tambourine (Gardener Musicians). Size: height 20 cm (= 7.87 inches) diameter of base 12 cm (= 4.72 inches) Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (underglazed) First quality model number D 86 / painter's number 61 / former's number 48 Dating: Made circa 1870 Material: Porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Style: Rococo, designed by Michael Victor ACIER (1736-1799) / modelled 1770-1775 Specifications: Meissen lovely gardener couple / man and woman attached to rocky round base - a woman having sat down holds up a tambourine - a man standing next to her holds a wreath of flowers' blossoms above woman's head - additionally, there is a basket filled with flowers' blossoms attached to a tree's stump - a cornucopia filled with flowers' blossoms is visible behind the figurines ... The figurine group is based on round rocky support with golden painted frieze decoration. The couple is clad in elegant Rococo garments which details are excellently modelled / please look for example at the woman's gowns, further at the figurines' handsome features and note, please, the elegant impression of ensemble deriving from highest quality of modelling!
