Meissen complete series of five senses (models E 1-5): E1 The Hearing E2 The Taste E3 The Sight E4 The Feeling E5 The Smell Measures / dimensions: height: 4.92 - 5.70 inches / 12.5 - 14.5 cm Measures of base: 10.5 x 8.0 cm ( 4.13 x 3.14 inches) 9.5 x 8.0 cm ( 3.74 x 3.14 inches) Attention: It is a complete series with five figurines / all of them have same type of base (= square socle - its edge is decorated with golden-rose red painted ornaments). Manufactory: Meissen Hallmarked: Blue Meissen Sword Mark (bottom not glazed) First quality painter's signs & former's numbers as well as model numbers (E 1 - 5) existing / Dating: made circa 1840 - 50 (= first half of 19th century) Material: porcelain, glossy finish, multicolored painted Technique: handmade porcelain Style: Rococo Style, designed by Johann Carl Schoenheit (1730 - 1805) / modelled circa 1772. - Schoenheit, since the year 1745 modeller of Meissen manufactory, was cooperator / co-worker of Johann Joachim Kaendler (1706 - 1775). Detailed description: E1 The Hearing: The lady making music sits by a spinet. E2 The Taste: The lady is sitting by a table laden with food (pastries, fruit, wine). E3 The Sight The lady sits at vanity table where some items for personal hygiene as well as for doing make-up (powder box, jewelry box, a mirror etc.) are visible / the lady is looking at herself in the MIRROR. E4 The Feeling The lady having sat down is situated beside a table where a birdcage had been put on. The bird - a parrot - is looking out: He bites the lady into her finger. E5 The Smell The lady sits at table on which a basket with flowers has been put on / the lady is smelling the bundle of flowers she holds in right hand. Additionally, various flower's blossoms have been laid on lady's apron.
