Meissen Tea Pot Rococo Period Birds Paintings Höroldt Era, 1763-1774

We invite you here to look at a splendid as well as rare Meissen lidded tea pot: It is made of white porcelain / multicolored paintings consist of various birds' figurines of very special specimen (= multicolored feathers) / these birds sit on leafy sprigs / some flying insects are scattered on pot's white surface. Additionally, the area of surface on which handle as well as spout are fused is decorated with flower's blossoms and leaves made in relief technique. The lid has a knob shaped as a sculptured flower's blossom. Design of paintings: This bellied Meissen tea pot was made in PRE-MARCOLINI ERA (1763-74) when Johann Gregorius Höroldt (1696-1775) was still alive: After having developped very special paintings in Chinese style (= Chinoiseries) Höroldt delved into landscape paintings and flower's as well as bird's paintings: This style very strongly influenced his successors. Hallmarked: There is at reverse side of tea pot MEISSEN SWORD MARK of era 1763-74 existing: Blue crossed sword mark with dot. First quality Size: Height of tea pot: 21.5 cm / 8.46 inches Width of tea pot: 16.0 cm / 6.29 inches Depth of tea pot: 11.0 cm / 4.33 inches Condition: Very good There aren't any damages existing / a small restoration was done at lid's knob as well as at golden rim of lid.
