Pair of Antique Derby Dishes with Flowers Made in England, circa 1825

This pair of Derby Porcelain dishes have hand painted flowers. They are attributed to the one of Derby Porcelain's best painters of the Regency period, Leonard Lead. He used an especially bright palette of pinks and yellows contrasting with purples and orange. The dishes have a gadrooned and beautifully gilded edge which adds to their beauty.
