This set designed by Luigi Colani in 1973 includes a sake pot with warming stand, six cups, six saucers, six dessert plates, one creamer and one sugar bowl.
Luigi Colani was born in 1928. Colani is a German industrial designer. His long career began in the 1950s when he designed cars for companies such as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Volkswagen, and BMW. Colani began designing furniture, and as of the 1970s, has expanded his work in numerous areas from household items such as ballpoint pens and television sets to uniforms, trucks and kitchens.
