19th Century French Green Glazed Terracotta Pot

About

A 19th century earthenware pottery vase or vessel from the Southwest of France having a beautiful green glaze with streaks of ochre and yellow. Tall, slightly tapered shape with a diameter of 7.5" at the bottom and 10.25 at the top. Simple incised decoration and ruffled edge at the mouth. These ordinary earthenware vessels were once used daily in the French country home and have beautiful rustic glazes of green, ochre and terracotta. Nice decorative elements especially when several sizes and shapes are grouped together. Weight: 18 lbs.
