1990s Antique Sterling Silver Teapot
About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver teapot made by Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd; an addition to our silver teaware collection.
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain paneled pear shaped form onto a spreading stepped octagonal collet style foot.
The surface of this octagonal paneled teapot is plain and unembellished.
This antique teapot retains the original hinged hallmarked domed paneled cover surmounted with an impressive sterling silver tiered finial.
This Edward Barnard and Sons silver teapot is fitted with the original carved painted wood opposing scrolling handle with a scroll style thumbpiece, with plain paneled sterling silver sockets.
The teapot has a paneled swan necked spout, accented with a scalloped socket in junction with the body.
This impressive example of antique silverware was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd.
Condition
This antique Edward Barnard and Sons silver teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. This fine example of antique teaware has been professionally polished. The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks struck to the interior of the cover are very clear.
