Large Georgian 'George III' Sheffield Plated Footed Tray with Coat of Arms

About the Item

Large, Georgian (George III), Sheffield plated (Silver on copper), footed tray with central coat of arms, England, circa 1775. Border is beaded, has shell-form feet. Measures 20 inches wide x 15 1/2 inches deep x 1 3/4 inches high. Plating is in very good condition, with just a little copper bleeding through on one underside ridge and having a few, very light scratches (see photos) commensurate with age and use. Dark spots in photos are reflections. Very good antique condition.
