This classic English sterling silver coffee set is a simplified, elegant piece of artistry dating from the Edwardian period of the early 20th century. The set contains two coffee pots, a milk jug and a sugar bowl and spoon, all of which are decorated in a consistently simple yet effective way. The set is the work of the London-based firm Holland, Aldwinckle & Slater, a sought-after maker of luxury silverware in the 19th century.
