The body of this impressive silver goblet is encircled with exceptional parcel gilt bright cut engraved ornamentation, accented with foliate and trefoil motifs extending downwards from the upper portion of the goblet. The border of this antique English silver goblet is embellished with applied bead decoration, which spans the goblet's circumference. The hallmarked surface of the exceptional goblet is further embellished with the original bright cut engraved monogram initials 'EH'. The swept pedestal features a circular parcel gilt knop to the centre encircled with applied bead decoration. The circular spreading foot is encircled with an applied bead decorated border to the rim and features further impressive parcel gilding and bright cut engraved decoration depicting quatrefoil motifs surrounding its surface. The foot of the goblet also features the engraved retailer's mark 'Stephen Smith & Son, 35 King Street Covent Garden W.C' This sterling silver goblet retains the original gilt interior. The exceptional goblet is fitted to a fine and impressive octagonal leatherette push fit presentation box with a velvet and satin lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
