20th Century Italian 800/1000 Silver Jewelry box
About the Item
The jewelry box is shiny with a hinged opening and resembles a trunk. Bands made with the casting technique and decorated with floral motifs have been welded onto the body and lid of the box.
A small silver plate has been welded onto the front of the box to facilitate opening without leaving stains or fingerprints.
The interior has been lined with velvet to allow jewelry to be placed inside without the risk of scratching the internal.
The sides have been left smooth and shiny.
A very thick silver plate has been used to construct the object, to ensure its solidity.
The jewelry box is made of solid 800 silver and is made in Italy, specifically in Florence in the "Spinelli" artisan silversmith's workshop for ARVAL ARGENTI VALENZA.
